Hatebusters Workshop

Target group: Students in grade 5-10. We will adapt the activities to the specific age group. We often offer this workshop for free to public schools in Copenhagen Municipality through Åben Skole. Please check with us, whether we still have workshops left to offer through this program.

Content: Hate Busters is an engaging workshop aimed at equipping students with tools to tackle discrimination and intolerance. Through a series of interactive activities, participants delve into the effects of discrimination on our society and democracy, explore their own privileges, and learn the value of diversity. Our global team of facilitators guides students towards becoming proactive global citizens who advocate for a more inclusive and peaceful world.

Learnings outcomes:

  • Students will gain awareness about stereotypes, unintentional discrimination and its potential consequences.
  • Students will explore and discuss different situations related to discrimination, promoting awareness and understanding of individual, structural, and institutional forms of discrimination.
  • Students will understand and explore different approaches to civic courage in the face of discrimination. They will gain a deeper understanding of their own responses and learn to appreciate the diverse approaches taken by others.

Duration and location: The workshop can vary between 4-10 hours (1 or 2 days), depending on the time you have available. The workshop can take place at your school or at Crossing Borders’ location at Culture house Union on Nørrebro.
