Young voices in Europe Workshop

Target group: Gymnasiums on Zealand. This project is funded by Europa-Nævnet for this specific target group. But if you are interested in the topic and you are not a gymnasium, please reach out to us and we can send you a suggested price for a workshop.

Content: This workshop aims to strengthen youth’s knowledge and engagement about the EU and its strategic priorities for 2024-2029.

As a participating gymnasium, you will receive a workshop taking place at your school exploring the question: “What should Europe and the European Community look like in the future?” The workshop will, through group work, discussions and dialogue-based methods, invite young people to reflect on what the future EU should look like, through their eyes. We will engage the youth students based on the EU’s strategic priorities for 2024-2029:
1. A free and democratic Europe
2. A strong and secure Europe and
3. A prosperous and democratic Europe.

Besides the workshop, 20 of your students will be invited to Crossing Borders’ working space in Copenhagen for a final debate event with 8 representatives from the political youth organizations. Here, youth leaders from the political parties in Denmark will present and debate their respective political positions on the future EU. If they are the ones making the decisions in the EU in the future, what would Europe and the European community look like?

In short, as a participant in this project, your gymnasium will:
– Participate in a workshop held at your school (max. 50 students)
– Participate in a debate event in Copenhagen (max 20 students)

Please reach out to us if you would like to be part of this project!

  • Students will be encouraged to reflect on what the future EU should look like, according to them.
