Climate Solutions Workshop
In the workshop, we take a closer look at what we, as ordinary citizens, can do to help the environment and ensure a better future for coming generations. The overall aim of the workshop is to strengthen the students’ hope for their own green future, and to help them understand that even small actions can create big changes in the long term. We help break down difficult and complex issues into manageable actions, so that all students can feel helpful in the fight for the climate. We also use tools such as debate, group work and interactive exercises to help students identify possible solutions themselves.
The major challenges facing humans and the planet because of climate change, have become a regular topic of conversation in society, and there is good reason for that. We have a lot to solve, and not all solutions appear easy or achievable. In this workshop we aim to empower students in their role as active agents of change. Big changes require the participation of everyone, and we want to show the students that small daily changes in our consumption or lifestyle, or by using our voice, we can contribute to a bigger global impact.
Target group: We offer this workshop to students between the ages 12-20. We will adapt the exercises and activities to the specific age group.
Learning outcomes:
- Breaking down the complexities of responsible consumerism and environmental challenges
- Help students believe in their own potential and make them embrace their influence as citizens of the world.
Duration and location: The workshop can vary between 4-6 hours, depending on the time you have available. The workshop can take place at your school or at Crossing Borders’ location at Culture house Union on Nørrebro.
